Around 2:50 p.m. Thursday, a Cadillac traveling north on Route 28 near Trinity Place collided with a pickup exiting Noisy Hole Road. The Cadillac’s driver swerved to his left, went into a gulley and up onto an embankment before crashing into a utility pole.

Mashpee Police directed traffic around the scene for over two hours while waiting for utility crews to arrive and stabilize the severely damaged pole so the car could be removed and the pole could be replaced. The car sustained heavy damage, including air bag deployment, and the driver was transported to Falmouth Hospital with apparent minor injuries.

Friday, Delphi Corp. (DPHIQ.PK: News ) announced that it reached an agreement with GM on amended settlement and restructuring agreements. Per the agreements, Delphi will receive support from GM that Delphi estimates to be valued at approximately $10.6 billion for its transformation, increased from about $6.0 billion in the January
2008 settlement. The agreement would modify the mechanics and expand the amount of Delphi’s net hourly pension liability transfer to GM pursuant to section 414(l) of the Internal Revenue Code from $1.5 billion under the original GSA to about $3.4 billion.

Web site The Car Connection on Tuesday managed to get its digital hands on photos of the what is said to be the production version of the Chevy Volt, the much-ballyhooed plug-in hybrid from General Motors.

The photos were made available on GM’s media Web site unintentionally, a company representative told The Detroit News. They were quickly taken down from GM’s site after The Car Connection posted them.

The all-new 2009 Cadillac CTS luxury saloon arrives in UK showrooms from 1 September 2008. With a dramatic coupe-like profile, the new right-hand drive CTS has a lavish specification as standard. CADILLAC - Three Cadillac men were expected to be arraigned today for their role in the sexual assault against a 27-year-old woman, who was found unconscious in a playground on Marble Street Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the location at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday morning to investigate a report of an injured woman. The woman was found with injuries to her face as well as other injuries and was passing in and out of consciousness, according to Cadillac Public Safety Director Jeff Hawke.

The Cadillac Provoq was introduced at this year’s CES, as the first concept car to premiere at the event in its history. It’s aimed at being a vehicle to allow GM to show-off its recent “eco-friendly” technologies and gadgetry in a single luxury concept. Besides being powered by hydrogen fuel cells and lithium ion batteries, it showcases new innovations such as automatic grill-shades and a roof-mounted solar panel to power all vehicle electronics.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The third time was an alarm for a Cadillac driver apparently loading up on free gas while posing as a stranded motorist. A police officer became suspicious the third time he saw the same man stopped on the side of a road next to his Cadillac with the hood up, said Charles Gonzalez, the area’s neighborhood police officer.
