General Motors Corp.’s treasurer said Wednesday that the automaker is planning to sell its Hummer truck brand and a factory in Strasbourg, France, and may announce more asset sales later this year.

Walter Borst said in a slide presentation at a Deutsche Bank investor conference that the company expects to distribute marketing materials for both operations in October.

The photos were made available on GM’s media Web site unintentionally, a company representative told The Detroit News. They were quickly taken down from GM’s site after The Car Connection posted them.

A mid-afternoon crash Saturday in Darke County sent one driver to Wayne Hospital in Greenville.

It happened at the intersection of State Route 571 and Arcanum-Bears Mill Road, south of Greenville.

Deputies said that Zachary Halton, 19, of Cincinnati, driving a 2007 Hummer, failed to yield from a stop sign and drove through the intersection. The Hummer struck a car driven by Tony Gilbert of Palestine.
